​Yin Yoga is a wonderful compliment to a martial arts practice, but great on it's own too. Known as a very deep, grounding, and restorative style of #hatha yoga; each pose is held for approximately 5 minutes. Yin Yoga strengthens, lengthens, and provides therapeutic release by targeting the connective tissues of the body - ie. tendons, ligaments, fascia, joints, etc..

Yin allows us to slow down from the fast-paced lives we are used to, bringing awareness to the qualities in slowness, and moving gently into a more mindful practice.

It's a great way to start the day: 6:00-7:00am every Tuesday. All experience levels welcome. Great for beginners!​​

The only combined BJJ & Yoga class offered in Calgary, Alberta! This class is a great way to get your child involved in a physical activity that trains them both physically and mentally. In a fun and safe environment, children will learn Yoga and Breathwork, while also learning a very practical Martial Art and form of Self Defense: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. 

With a strong focus on the fundamentals movements of both Yoga and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, this combination class teaches children the importance of learning a Self Defense while also understanding and listening to the body, recognizing the importance of the breath and how it benefits us on a mental and physical level, and how to combine the two to benefit us on all levels. 

This class promotes a healthy self-confidence, a positive attitude, discipline, respect, problem-solving, and many other beneficial developmental qualities such as balance, coordination, focus, and self-control. Through practical and playful teachings the children learn valuable life skills, while building friendships, and of course, having fun! 

Classes are taught by 5th Degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt [Anderson Goncalves] and Brown Belt and Certified Yoga Teacher [Diana Trang].
